Introduction

RPA/RAA Primer Database is an online, curated database of experimentally validated recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) primers and recombinase-assisted amplification (RAA) primers. The primers are derived from the literature on the use of RPA or RAA for the diagnosis of the five major syndromes (respiratory pathogens, diarrheal pathogens, febrile with rash pathogens, febrile with hemorrhagic pathogens, and encephalitis and meningitis pathogens).

RPA/RAA Primer Database provides an intuitive, user-friendly interface, implying functions for browsing, searching, grouping, and downloading data that expedite the exploration of experimentally validated RPA/RAA primers from the massively scattered literature, and the comparison of newly designed primers with the published, screened ones.

RPA/RAA Primer Database workflow comprises three steps: literature aggregation, data curation, and database and website implementation. RPA/RAA primers and their respective information were retrieved from the reference literature in the PubMed database, and manually curated into five specified descriptive categories. This resource provides direct links to multiple databases, including PubMed, GenBank, and the NCBI Taxonomy database, as well as to the original publication to fetch more details and facilitate backtracking to the reference studies.
